Federation Cup

 

- This competition is aimed at corporate players and more social. Rules are modified to accommodate for the begginer level of the competition and this day is used for companies to liase and use sport as an integration with each other.

Social League

​

- This competition is open to all players of all levels. It is an 8-12 week competition played in Lausanne with modified rules of 4 players vs 4 players (with reserves). The idea of this competition is to meet new people, get some good exercise in, as well as developing and learning the game. After these games, normally there are drinks and bbq's happening somewhere, which gives time to sit together and re-live those magic individual or team moments......

        Duration - 2 x 20 minute games (pending format and amount of teams)

        Level - Begginers (Open to all levels though)

Lac Leman Cup

 

- This competition is a local rivalry for the Lake Leman Cup between Geneva Eagles & Swiss Lakers. This is aimed for members only of the clubs that want a bit more than just the social aspect but are still at the begginers stage to medium stage of learning the game. There are also other friendly matches in this area with Zurich, Zug and Basel.

        Frequency - 9 game series over 3 rounds. May - September (Yearly)

        Duration - 3 x games per round, 24 minute games. 

        Level - Begginers to intermediate (Open all levels)

Swiss Cup

 

- This is our national level competition where we get to play against other clubs from other cantons in a full day round robin competition. This competition is a great atmosphere and an awesome way to meet other players within Switzerland. The idea of this level of competition is for those that are playing social or in the Lac Leman cup, and want to play against other opposition. Lakers want to use this competition to help blend the new players to the sport with more experienced players and merging the gap of enjoyment on all levels.

        Duration - 1 day round robin tournament (2016) 2 x 30 minute games (2017)

International Tournaments

 

- Every tournament has its own level of fun and excitement, but these tournaments are the top of the class. The club selects tournaments each year in different European cities. Depending on the level of team we can send we will choose european city tournaments to ensure it matches our level and we take weekend trips away. To meet people locally is fun, but to meet people from overseas and share a common goal is the ultimate. Some of the cities the Lakers travel too and not limited too are, Barcelona, Cologne, Paris, Nice, Strassbourg, Dublin, London, Oxford, Amsterdam, Budapest, Frankfurt, Munich, Grenoble, Berlin and many many more. If you want to play this great sport and meet and see new places all over over Europe, then this is the level you want.
